Romantic weekend getaway with Fred is a very modern science fiction flash fiction short story about romance and illicit weekends in hotels away from marital partners.

A five-star hotel is the setting for this romantic weekend away and immediately we see that things are not going smoothly for Angela when her weekend date isn't able to get away from his wife.

Things take a turn for the better when Angela calls in the entertainments counselor and she leaves the hotel a couple of days later a very happy, if rather shocked, lady.
