Creative Writing Open Day at University of Gloucestershire

At a recent creative writing open day in a workshop at the University of Gloucestershire, we were given ten minutes to come up with a small piece of writing on the subject of 'happiness'.

This is what I wrote, warts and all, apart from a small bit of polishing.

I enjoyed the experience so much that I resolved to do a lot more flash fiction writing and to publish these very short stories, as is my habit, free online.

Who knows? Maybe next year will see me reliving my youth as a student.

The thought of the company of 150 other writers is intoxicating.

I hope you like Serenity and Happiness - a flash fiction very short story by Rob Hopcott

How long does it take you to create flash fiction? Do you find the small format liberating or constraining?

Bye for now

Rob
